SUMMARY:Monthly Meeting - May 2025 - The Worth of Work: Rethinking Meaning\, Purpose\, and Payoff
DESCRIPTION:EVENT INFORMATION \nWe are honored to welcome Christopher Wong Michaelson\, renowned business ethicist\, thought leader\, and author of Is Your Work Worth It?\, as our featured guest at the Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable. In a time of rapid transformation and disruption—particularly for those in public service—Christopher brings profound insight into how organizations can foster meaningful work amid uncertainty and change. \nIn a compelling conversation designed for senior leaders\, Christopher will explore the role of business in cultivating purpose and fulfillment for employees. Drawing from both research and real-world experience\, he will address how leaders can navigate moral and economic complexities to create workplaces where meaning is not just an ideal but a lived experience. \nHis remarks will be followed by an interactive Q&A session\, providing attendees the opportunity to engage directly with his perspectives on leadership\, values\, and the future of work. Copies of his critically acclaimed book will be available for purchase\, with the option for a personal signing following the event. \nJoin us for this thought-provoking program as we consider the value of our work—not just for shareholders or stakeholders—but for ourselves\, our organizations\, and the society we serve. \nSPEAKER INFORMATION \nChristopher Wong Michaelson is the author of Is Your Work Worth It?
